WordPress in Yoruba: localization as inclusion
As Locale Manager for WordPress Yoruba and a Translation Validator at WordPress.com, I see localization as infrastructure for inclusion.
Localization is not a nice-to-have. For many people, it is the difference between guessing and truly understanding the tools they use every day.
In the WordPress community I serve as Locale Manager for WordPress Yoruba translations and as a Translation Validator at WordPress.com. That work pairs naturally with Tech in Yoruba: better language support in the software people already use, and clearer paths into learning tech skills.
If you want to contribute translations or join a local meetup, start with the Ilesa WordPress Meetup — and keep building with us.
